Mass Transportation for the Festival
The Tempe Festival of the Arts is located on the city streets of downtown Tempe, on Mill Avenue between 3rd Street and University Parkway, and on 5th Street between Myrtle and Ash Avenue.

Valley Metro Rail - The most hassle-free way to get to the Festival is Valley Metro Rail. Light rail provides free parking at 13 Park-and-Ride so you can ride the train directly to the 3rd & Mill festival entrance.

Tempe Transportation Center - The Tempe Transportation Center in only one block east of the 5th Street entrance to the Festival. Avoid parking by taking the bus.

Driving Directions
Located on Mill Avenue between 3rd Street and University Drive in Downtown Tempe
From the Southeast Valley:
Take the Price Freeway 101 Loop north to the Red Mountain Freeway Loop 202. Head west on the 202 toward Phoenix. Exit at Rural Road and go left (south) to Rio Salado Parkway. Turn right (west) on Rio Salado Parkway to Mill Avenue. – or – Take US-60 Superstition Freeway to Mill Avenue exit. Go north on Mill Avenue.
From the South Valley:
Take I-10 west towards Phoenix. Exit at 143 Hohokam Expressway, and take that to the University Exit. Go east (right) on University to Mill Avenue and make a left (north) on Mill Avenue.
From the North Valley:
Take SR-51 to the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway. Go east on the 202. Exit at Priest Road and make a right (south) to Rio Salado Parkway. Make a left (east) on Rio Salado to Mill Avenue.
From the West |Sky Harbor International Airport:
Take Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) and exit at Priest Drive. Turn south (right) on Priest, east (left) on Rio Salado Parkway, and then south (right on) Mill Avenue.

ADA Information
Parking - During the three-day festival, dedicated accessible parking meters will be reserved on 5th Street east of Mill to College Avenue and 7th Street east of Mill, adjacent to the Festival venue. ADA parking also will be available in the 201 S. Ash Garage on Ash between Rio Salado and 3rd Street, posted rates apply. As always, on-street parking is free for vehicles displaying required current disabled access license plates or placards. Contact 480.894.1800 for additional parking information.
Drop-Off Areas - Limited drop-off areas are available in the immediate vicinity of each major entrance to the Festival (3rd & Mill, 3rd & University, 5th & Ash, 5th & Myrtle, 7th & Myrtle) in proximity to the water barricade installations. Security will permit loading/unloading only by vehicles displaying ADA accessible tags or permits.
Festival ADA Accommodations, Parking, & Access:
- All lots and garages offer paid disabled access parking.
- There is no parking inside the event perimeter. All available on-street parking throughout Downtown Tempe is FREE to cars displaying required current disabled access license plates or placards.
