The Tempe Festival of the Arts accepts artists’ applications exclusively through Zapplication (www.zapplication.org). The service is free to and to apply for our festival you must submit through that service. It’s easy: go to the Zapp website and follow the instructions for creating your own account. Once you have done that, you’ll receive all of Zapp’s notices for shows throughout the country, including the Tempe Festival of the Arts.

More than 400 fine artists and crafts persons display and sell their original work amid a street festival atmosphere throughout Tempe’s Mill Avenue District. A beloved, award-winning tradition, the event is the largest festival of its kind in the state of Arizona, hosting as many as 225,000 festival visitors.

Sunshine Artists Magazine (the leading publication for festival artists) ranked the Tempe Festivals of the Arts in the Top 200 fine art and fine craft festivals nationwide, based on artists’ surveys of excellence!

Coming from throughout the country—and around the world—Festival artists’ original works cover the gamut of creative visual categories including painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics, folk craft, glass, leather, metalwork, wearable art, woodwork, mixed media (2 and 3 dimensional).

The festival features only original art, and our artists are all present on-site to greet festival attendees. Works of art range from collector masterpieces to affordable art and craft for enthusiasts on small budgets.
