Tempe Festival of the Arts has a 50+ year history in Tempe and takes place in early December and early to mid-March each year.  It is one of the oldest festivals in the Southwest.   The festival has grown to become a Tempe point of pride and a favorite of our residents and visitors.   Guests enjoy artists from around the country, local music, a Kids Block and many great food options - all located on the streets of historic Mill Avenue.

The Tempe Festival of the Arts consistently ranks among the Top 100 Classic & Contemporary Craft Shows in the nation by Sunshine Artist magazine and has received the prestigious Pinnacle Award from the International Festival and Events Association. The spring and fall events each attract nearly 225,000 visitors to the Downtown Tempe over the course of a 3-day weekend.

Volunteer

Individuals and Groups are welcome as volunteers at the Tempe Festivals of the Arts. Each festival requires about 350 volunteers to help manage on-site functions important to the conduct of the event. Sign up solo to meet new people. Or, sign up with your group to fulfill employers’ and organizations’ volunteer commitments while having fun!

The Tempe Festivals of the Arts’ semi-annual events are among the oldest and largest arts festivals in the Desert Southwest. The Fall Festival spans 50 years, and the Spring Festival is 42 years old. These two events are routinely ranked among the top fine art festivals in the nation, and draw artist participation from throughout all 50 states and North America.
